Bio by Jessi Harmon -- Bobby was deployed from Fort Richardson in Alaska to Afghanistan and will be deployed for a minimum time of a year. He has been trained to be a gunner and will be in the line of fire. Since he has been over in Afghanistan, I have heard from him through AIM AOL. The only thing that he was able to tell me was that he was safe (praise God) and that it was super hot!!( Just a slight change from his stay in Alaska…little sarcasm). He is extremely busy and missing his family and friends A LOT! He did tell me that he should be able to go back home to New York in August for his daughters birthday and is very excited for that.

Bobby not only has the pressure of war on his back but he also has a sense of emptiness because he is away from his beautiful baby girl, Savannah Destiny Boyd. She was born August 30^th, 2006. She is the love of his life and soul purpose of why he continues to be the best man that he can be. Bobby has a high spirited energy and he likes to joke around a lot to help ease the stress of life as I was shown this the moment I was introduced to him in college. He is a true friend to all and we have maintained a friendship for 5 yrs now.

Prayer for my friend:  prayer for safety, strength, courage and peace. Prayer that he will be surrounded by Christian men that can uplift him and show him the Lords love and grace. For Bobby’s heart, that the Lord will work in him and that he is able to draw closer to the Lord. I would like prayers for Savannah that she is filled with the knowing that her father loves and misses her tremendously and that she doesn’t become bitter that her father is gone but instead stays positive and prayerful for her father. Prayer for his family, that the Lord touches their hearts and comforts them as their friend, son, father, is away from them.
