Dustin was recuited into the Marines during his senior year of high school.  Dustin went to school in Stockbridge Michigan. 

    Dustin's brothers, Matthew and Joel, are also both Marines. 

    Dustin's grandfather, Phil Marentay, served in the Coast Guard during World War II, transporting Marines during the D-Day landings.  His grandmother Wanda Marentay, is a past president of the V.F.W. Auxilary.
